Diploma of Community Welfare course
New age requirement will be effective from our July 2009 intake for all our campuses.
Dear Students,
We have made a change in the entry requirement for our Diploma of
Community Welfare course which is delivered in our Melbourne, Adelaide
and Perth campuses. The new age criteria is 21 years. Previously we have
enrolled students of 18 years of age. However, this new age requirement
will be effective from our July 2009 intake for all our campuses.
The above change is in line with the recommendation from the community
welfare faculty after thorough consultation with the industry. A trainee
of community welfare course is supposed to deal with various types of
people in the community. Professional training along with some maturity
is an added advantage and hence CIC has taken the decision to go for
this change.
Any student who has already received a CoE for July 2009 intake in
Diploma of Community Welfare and is under the age of 21, will still be
able to study at CIC. The above change is applicable for all new
enrolments as of 15th January 2009.
